Tasks to assess
- Quick visual checks of bridge piers, intakes, culverts and harbour structures
- Sites where one-person carry and fast setup matter
- Locations without convenient power (R-20Li)
Configuration checks
- Keep optional sonar or a gripper within the 0.6 kg payload and re-check trim.
- Choose R-20 or R-20Li by mission duration and power access; confirm R-20Li runtime with the installed equipment.
- Add sonar where poor visibility makes camera-only inspection unreliable.
COMPLETE SYSTEM
Specify more than
the vehicle.
Sonar and a single-function gripper are optional items purchased separately. The brochure lists 2–5 hours of R-20Li battery operation; actual runtime depends on load, current and installed equipment. Battery shipment follows the dangerous-goods rules that apply to the supplied battery.

Before you specify the R-20 / R-20Li.
Should I choose the R-20 or the R-20Li?
The two share the same vehicle figures. The R-20 runs on an external tethered supply for longer missions; the R-20Li carries its own lithium battery for sites where power access is difficult and missions are short.
Can it inspect pipes or culverts?
The manufacturer describes use in drainage culverts and municipal networks. Check the smallest opening, bends, tether drag and recovery route against the fully equipped vehicle before planning an internal pipe inspection.
What affects R-20Li runtime?
Current, manoeuvring, lighting, water temperature and added equipment all draw on the battery. Treat the 2–5 hour brochure range as a planning band and confirm runtime for your configuration.
