Tasks to assess
- Weld and surface inspection on the walls of tanks, pools and lined basins
- Inside and outside pipes and confined structures where a crawler can hold position
- Tasks that combine a camera with a contact or near-contact NDT probe
Configuration checks
- Confirm wall material, cleanliness and curvature for crawling and adhesion.
- Specify the inspection probe (for example ACFM) and its integration, calibration and data output.
- Check access, tether routing and recovery from the work area.
COMPLETE SYSTEM
Specify more than
the vehicle.
The manufacturer designs the A-30 for one-person deployment and lists compatibility with a line-tracking system. The 3 kgf payload is expressed as a force; confirm how it was measured. NDT probes, their certification and the inspection procedure are specified per project.
Confirm in the delivered scope
- Vehicle and installed payload
- Control station and software functions
- Tether length, reel and power supply
- Selected tools, sensors and deployment equipment
- Transport cases, spares, manuals and training
Standard, optional and custom items must be listed separately in the quotation.

Before you specify the A-30.
What can the A-30 inspect?
It is designed for wall-contact inspection in small spaces: welds and surfaces in pools and tanks, and inside or outside pipes and structures. The camera gives visual inspection; quantitative NDT needs a suitable probe and procedure.
Has it been used for weld inspection?
The manufacturer reports a development project for a stainless-lined pool, where the A-30 carried an ACFM inspection module and used vision-based weld recognition to follow weld seams automatically. This is a manufacturer reference, not a project delivered by PanPan Marine.
