Key specifications.
- Weight
- 1.1 ± 0.2 t
- Draught
- 50 ± 10 cm
- Minimum water depth
- 1 m
- Dimensions
- 4.46 × 2.50 × 1.97 m
- Payload
- 155 + 100 kg
- Speed
- Max 3.3 m/s; economy 1.8 m/s
- Endurance
- ≈ 20.5 h / 136 km per charge
- Cameras
- Front and rear, up to 2560 × 1440
Tasks to assess
- Bathymetric and sediment surveys of reservoirs, rivers and channels
- Routine inspection of hydraulic structures, combined with an ROV where needed
- Hydrological and water-quality monitoring with modular sensors
Configuration checks
- Specify the sensors (side-scan, multibeam, ADCP, water quality) and how the two payload bays are used.
- Choose the remote link to suit local networks and radio certification; the brochure describes 5G remote control.
- Define offline operation, local data storage and raw-data export; data should not upload to overseas servers by default.
COMPLETE SYSTEM
Specify more than
the vehicle.
The USUG-Wharf docking station (automatic charging and return), USUG-R-45 ROV and USUG-Center remote control centre are optional. The manufacturer designs the platform for routine unattended duty; unattended operation must comply with local waterway rules. The 155 + 100 kg payload is allocated between the payload bays according to the task, as advised by the manufacturer.
Confirm in the delivered scope
- Vessel, collection or payload equipment and mooring points
- Control terminal, software and remote link
- Batteries, charger and docking station if selected
- Optional sensors and data platform
- Transport, spares, manuals and operator training
Standard, optional and custom items must be listed separately in the quotation.
OPERATING CONDITIONS
Confirm you can
run it locally.
Unmanned surface vessels depend on more than their specifications. These items are confirmed for each project and market; the IMO’s autonomous-ship code does not amount to a navigation permit for small unmanned vessels.
Before purchase
- Export approval for the specific project and destination
- Permission to operate unmanned vessels on the target waters
- Radio certification for the delivered radios and remote link (for example CE RED, FCC, ISED)
- Lithium battery test reports and dangerous-goods shipping arrangements
- A supervision and manual-takeover plan, with suitable insurance
- Offline operation, local data storage and raw-data export
QUESTIONS
Before you specify the USUG-Skaters.
Can it work with an ROV?
The system can be paired with the USUG-R-45 inspection ROV and a docking station. The vessel covers the surface survey; the ROV inspects below the waterline. Confirm the integrated configuration and deployment method.
What results has it delivered?
In a river-inspection project with Zhongyuan University of Technology in Henan, China, the manufacturer reports that the inspection cycle for key river sections fell from 15 days to 3, and that 12 silted sections and 4 illegal sand-mining sites were located. These are manufacturer-reported results.
